Since 1879 BIOTTI card clothing holds a record of quality in card clothing production, maintained thanks to the constant modernization of the plants, the continuous updating of production techniques and quality control, and to the staff contribution and efficient collaboration.
Nowadays BIOTTI card clothing can still proudly claim to be the most modern and efficient Italian company in it’s industry: a great example of a healthy and active entrepreneurship, linked to an old all-Italian tradition of work, expertise and experience.

Giovanni Biotti starts a company for the production of flexible card clothing: one of the first in Italy, located in Intra.
Giovanni Biotti patents a special handle to support hand cleaning cards with metal clips.
Giovanni Biotti’s son, Alfonso, and Alfredo Margarini, develop new products and increase production capacity at the new “Pontini” location in Intra.
Alfredo Margarini becomes the sole owner of the company and starts a very important technological development in card clothing products.
